Drum kit installations.

The purchase is complete.

So, your newly purchased drum kit has arrived. It is now time to roll your sleeves up and get the equipment set up. You open up the boxes, but then you slowly realise that this could be harder than you first thought.

Unless you have bought a premium level drum kit, upon opening the boxes you will be greeted with nothing more than the drum shells, as they are typically packaged “Russian Doll” style with them all placed inside one another.

Drumheads and all the other parts must be fitted as the kit is built.

Once everything is in place, the drums must be tuned properly, which in itself can be a tricky process. Tuning is a vital step to get the very best from the drums.

The last step is to position the kit correctly for the person who will be playing it. With the drums being a physical instrument to play, you want everything within reach. Tom-toms must be the correct height and cymbals must be angled correctly to avoid damage. Any part of the kit not placed correctly could lead to discomfort or tension while playing.
