Camden Town is certainly one of the most hip and quirky parts of London and there is nothing more that we love than to have an excuse to go and hang out there for a day.
We got a call from a representative from Alstar Music who needed to hire a drum kit for their event – a show at the Camden Assembly which was part of a UK tour that they were organising. The tour kicked off in London and would visit Glasgow, Newcastle, Manchester and Nuneaton.
All of the bands that were playing are up and coming artists who are building quite a following…. certainly judging from the crowds outside the venue!
Once the kit was set-up and the drummers were happy, I decided to hang around Camden for a while and soak in the vibes. I could literally watch the world go by sipping a coffee in one of the numerous cafes, so many sounds and sights and quite a few punk rockers to boot!
Once I had got my fix of Camden I made my way into central London as I had a few errands to run.
The show finished at 6pm and I arrived to lots of fans milling around getting autographs and meeting members of the bands. Pack-up took me about 45 minutes before I said farewell to the bands and the representative from Alstar Music.
It was time to hit the road and reflect on a brilliant day.
